Welcome to a judgement-free safe space where you can reach your goals.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate who prioritizes providing welcoming presence and a safe space for you to process your concerns. I am passionate about working with individuals struggling with individuals struggling with relationship concerns, eating disorders, perfectionism, and complex trauma. Coming from a South Asian American background in which mental illness and mental health care are heavily stigmatized, I understand how nerve-wracking and challenging it can be to begin therapy. I’m here to encourage you, be curious about you, and provide compassion and empowerment along the way. I bring warmth and openness to the therapy environment and encourage you to be yourself throughout our time getting to know one another.
I believe we are all affected by the relationships, experiences, and environments we find ourselves in from the beginning of our lives. I will work with you to explore the deepest parts of yourself, identify your core beliefs and influences, and help you learn how to be better for yourself through development of sustainable coping skills and self-care through the integration of psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral approaches. My goal is for you to leave therapy equipped with a greater understanding and awareness of your identity, and what is required to fulfill your needs.
I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Science from Texas A&M University, and a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Texas at Dallas. My education has provided me with an in-depth understanding of health, wellness, and the mind-body connection, allowing me to approach counseling from a holistic perspective. In my free time, I enjoy going on outdoor walks (as long as the Texas heat isn’t around), painting artwork for my home, and catching up with friends at restaurants around the city!
